About the role

Program Manager
Location: San Diego, California

This position is contingent upon contract award.

This position includes the role of Command and Control/Composite Warfare Commander (CWC/B) / Program Manager and requires knowledge of:

  • Surface Force Training and Readiness Manual (SFTRM)
  • Composite Warfare Commander construct
  • Command and Control, regarding surveillance, engagement and planning functions required for each of the various numbered fleets
  • Staff and Fleet operations and planning procedures
  • Fleet Synthetic Training architecture

Duties:

  • Provide technical, tactical, and administrative support for distributed training to ships, including feedback loop
  • Support team in developing scenario scripts that are robust and comprehensive to ensure combat systems watch standers are tactically proficient
  • Oversee team and provide technical support to executed distributed scenarios

Required Experience:

  • 20 years experience as a Naval Officer responsible for surface ship combat systems training, maintenance and operations
  • Qualified Surface Warfare Officer (SWO) and Tactical Action Officer (TAO)
  • 10 years experience in conducting staff level training with U.S. Navy Strike Group, Fleet, or Major Training Command. Naval Warfare Specialist. Naval Warfare experience in implementation of Task Group Concept as a Composite Warfare Commander (CWC/B) or as a senior staff member for a Task Group/Force Commander, or as a Senior Facilitator with equivalent experience training warfare commanders or senior staff members.
  • 5 years scenario development/training/operation experience with Joint Semi Automated Forces (JSAF); Multi-System Automated Remote-Control Interface (MARCI).
  • 5 years’ experience with Battle Force Team Trainer (BFTT) and Tactical Data Information Link generation systems supporting LOS Link 11(A) /16(J), Satellite-J, Link 16, Global Command and Control System-Maritime (GCCS-M); Tactical Voice/Data Communications.
  • 5 years experience managing a DoD training contract.

Education/Certifications:

  • Bachelors degree, no specific discipline.  
  • Currently hold SECRET clearance.
