Production Trainer

Description

As a Production Trainer at Humm Kombucha, you’ll play a key role in empowering our production team with the knowledge and skills they need to maintain high standards in kombucha production, packaging, quality, and safety. You’ll be responsible for developing training programs, conducting hands-on sessions, tracking staff progress, and continually evaluating and enhancing training effectiveness to support a culture of growth and safety.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop Training Programs: Design and implement thorough training programs for new hires and current team members, covering key areas like brewing, bottling, packaging, quality control, and safety protocols.
• Conduct Training Sessions: Lead interactive training sessions, both hands-on and classroom-style, to ensure all production staff are well-versed in company processes, equipment, and best practices.
• Monitor and Evaluate Progress: Track employee training performance, assess the effectiveness of programs, and make adjustments as needed to achieve training goals.
• Facilitate Onboarding: Oversee the onboarding of new team members, integrating them smoothly into their roles and providing clarity on responsibilities.
• Maintain Training Records: Keep detailed records of all training activities, certifications, and employee progress, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Emphasize Safety Compliance: Prioritize safety in all training initiatives, enforcing standards and procedures to maintain a safe production environment.
• Collaborate with Production Team: Work closely with production management to identify training needs, address skill gaps, and support the team’s overall development.
• Support Production Operations: Occasionally assist with production tasks to stay connected with day-to-day operations and understand evolving training needs.

Requirements

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent required; some college experience preferred.
• Minimum 1 year of supervisory or team lead experience with proven skills in communication, administration, and technical areas.
• Ability to follow and enforce health and safety regulations.
• Experience as a production-focused operator, with physical ability to stand for long periods, lift up to 50 lbs., and work in a production setting.

Competencies:

• Comfortable in a production environment with exposure to food allergens, noise, and temperature variations.
• Flexible with schedule changes based on production needs and shift requirements.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills to effectively train individuals and groups.
• Strong organizational and project management skills with a proven track record of executing and delivering results.
• Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams, self-motivation, and a high sense of urgency.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Google Business tools, and other relevant technology.
