The Red Hat Product Security Supply Chain is looking for a highly motivated individual who wants to join us to gain hands-on experience with open source and Red Hat products during a summer internship as a Security Engineer. You will gain experience supporting the Pipeline Risk Assurance and Pipeline Risk Management teams. What you will do
- Implementing security measures and best practices that align the development process with regulatory standards and internal policies.
- Identifying, assessing, and mitigating risks that could impact the integrity, availability, and confidentiality of the software supply chain.
- Collaborating closely with other departments and stakeholders to ensure that risk mitigation strategies are integrated seamlessly into the overall software development and deployment processes.
- Researching current and emerging supply chain threats in the enterprise and open-source software space.
What you will bring
- Ability to work full time June-August
- Currently pursuing a 4 year degree
- Knowledge of Google Drive, Jira, and Confluence
- Ability to work remotely as part of a globally distributed team using multiple communication methods to facilitate collaboration like chat, voice, video, and email
The following are considered a plus:
- Passion for open source and working collaboratively
- Good written and verbal communication skills in English to convey information effectively and professionally to a wide variety of technical and non-technical audiences.
