DoD Clearance: SecretCollins Aerospace’s Power & Controls team is seeking a Product Engineering Manager to lead the full lifecycle of fuel controls and electro-mechanical components from technology development and new product introduction to manufacturing and aftermarket support.
This key leadership role oversees a team of 15 associates and is responsible for driving strategy, technical execution, and engineering excellence. As part of a matrixed organization, the role involves leading cross-functional engineering teams, managing technical projects, and collaborating closely with Global Engineering, Operations, and external customers.
This is a customer-facing position requiring strong communication skills and serves as a primary point of contact for both internal and external stakeholders.
Based in Windsor Locks, CT with hybrid flexibility, this role reports to the Director of Engineering for Mechanical Controls.

What You Will Do
Propose, manage, and drive engineering projects and initiatives to ensure successful completion within planned timelines and budgets, while meeting customer expectations.
Collaborate with functional managers and across the value stream to execute tasks aligned with engineering goals and program needs.
Provide technical engineering support to both factory operations and field service teams.
Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders, including senior executives.
Develop and lead strategies that align the engineering team with overall business objectives.
Create long-term plans to improve engineering productivity through standardization, advanced methods, tools, and low-cost engineering sourcing.
Analyze engineering systems and processes to maximize efficiency and effectiveness.
Develop engineering investment strategies to support business capture and long-term growth.
Support the business by creating technology roadmaps, securing investment, and contributing to successful proposals.
Lead root cause investigations and ensure timely resolution of issues.
Mentor, coach, and develop engineering talent to build a high-performing team.
Champion a strong, customer-centric culture that empowers and engages the team.
Qualifications You Must Have
Requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and minimum 12 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 10 years of experience
