About the role

Responsible for participating in all aspects of the work in the department for as needed (PRN) evening and weekend shifts.

Hours: PRN, Flexible schedule that can accommodate weekday and weekends, 12pm - 8pm, 12pm - 4pm or 2pm - 6pm based on the needs of the business 

Location: Both Inpatient Locations.  Brooks Bartram Inpatient Hospital, 6400 Brooks Bartram Dr E, Jacksonville, FL 32258, Brooks University Inpatient Hospital, 3599 University Blvd South, Jacksonville, FL 32216 

Responsibilities

  • Distributes pre-admission forms to each department.
  • Signs in patient upon arrival.
  • Obtains copies of patient’s insurance information.
  • Verifies all patient data and corrects as needed.
  • Calls secondary insurance companies for pre-certifications.
  • Creates and files business office/admission charts.
  • Responsible for the production and distribution of patient education manuals.
  • Verifies compliance with regulatory standards.
  • May perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • High school graduate with Business curriculum. 
  • Two to three years secretarial/office experience.
  • Must be a team player and have personality skills.
