Seaman Corporation is seeking a Field Technical Services Regional Supervisor - Ohio to join our Commercial team! This position will report to the Field Technical Services Senior Supervisor.
POSITION SUMMARY
This position manages the performance of the FiberTite Field Technical Regional Representatives by setting objectives, conducting performance reviews, coaching and individual development, work assignments, and the dayto-day performance of duties and responsibilities. This role guides team members towards department goals, ensuring all team members are productive and resolving problems as they arise.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
• Manage performance – set objectives, performance reviews, career development, and work assignments.
• Monitors and provides direction, as necessary, to FiberTite Field Technical Service associates in the performance of their duties and responsibilities, including scheduling.
• Maintains communication with FiberTite Technical Service concerning priorities, progress of key matters and project needs.
• Oversee training and development of FiberTite Field Technical Representatives, mentoring individuals to achieve competency in their position and fulfill their respective duties and responsibilities.
• Ensure and enforce training and best practices provided by FiberTite Technical Services and Seaman Corporation to all FiberTite Field Technical Representatives and contractors, for new and existing products, systems and technology.
• Maintain communication with FiberTite Regional Sales Manager(s) to ensure continuity of priorities with the respective region(s).
• Assist Product Development in coordination of in-field evaluation of new products, systems and technology.
• Monitor FiberTite Field Technical Representative expenses to remain within established budgets and company policy.
• Be a conduit of collected market intelligence and voice of the customer, communicated to FiberTite management.
• Assists in the development of International Technical Service consistent with the Strategic Plan.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
• High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
• 10+ years of experience in a technical or product management related position in the single-ply roofing market, preferably with thermoplastic membranes (KEE, PVC, TPO, Modified Bitumen) is desired but not a requirement.
• Registered Roof Observer (RRO) is desired but not required.
• Basic PC skills, i.e., Word Perfect, Excel Spreadsheet, email, Internet.
• Ability to read and understand basic construction blueprints, drawings, and specifications, and perform basic estimating.
• Fundamental knowledge of roofing materials and roofing systems.
• Fundamental knowledge of roof leak detection methods, and determination of corrective repairs, associated with single-ply roofing systems.
• Ability to listen & comprehend, and express oneself both verbally in writing, including report writing.
• Working knowledge of building codes, i.e., FM, UL, Miami-Dade
