Job Description:

The Hospital Food Service Unit plays a vital role in providing nutritious and well-balanced meals for patients, visitors, and staff. The unit also manages the cafeteria and catering services for hospital events, offering a variety of menu options for staff and visitors. The team consists of skilled chefs, dietitians, and food service workers who work closely with healthcare professionals to ensure that the nutritional needs of patients are met to support their recovery and overall well-being.

Production Manager

Full-Time, Days

Job Description:

• Assists in overseeing all food production, catering, and assists in the supervision of general department operations, including main kitchen, cafeteria, dish room, and sanitation.
• The Production Manager is considered the local site expert on quality control, food preparation, food safety, and responsible for ensuring the local culinary team is adhering to the Baptist Health brand Culinary Standards, within an established budget.
• Responsible for daily production forecasting and identifying cost savings through waste reduction.
• Facilitates the selection, training, and skill development of all culinary staff. Collaborates with the System Executive Director of Culinary Operations with menus and recipes.

Job Requirements:

• High School Diploma or Equivalent
• Two years related experience
• ServeSafe Foodservice Handlers or Local Health Department Certification
• Must obtain Rouxbe Culinary Training course within 6 months
