As a Senior Financial Analyst, you will act as the go to Operations, Finance, Planning, and Analysis resource for a high growth segment of GXO. You will partner with onsite leadership teams supporting operation of various globally recognized ecommerce, B2B, and B2C brands to drive growth and margin improvement. **This role will be hybrid in Charlotte, NC, High Point, NC, or Dallas-Fort Worth, TX**

What you’ll do on a typical day:

  • Design, prepare, and update spreadsheets/cost models in Excel to support resource planning, forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis.
  • Prepare monthly reporting package comparing actual financials vs. budgets for internal management review.
  • Investigate cost variances; work closely with business unit stakeholders to identify root causes of larger variances and opportunities to reduce costs.
  • Identify, measure, and track Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and other operational and financial metrics.
  • Perform impromptu budgetary investigations as required.
  • Seek continuous improvement opportunities in reports and processes to improve content and streamline production and distribution.
  • Troubleshoot reporting issues and data anomalies.
  • Design reports that are concise, well organized, professional in appearance, and easy to modify and distribute.

 

What you need to succeed at GXO:

At a minimum, you’ll need:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent related work or military experience.
  • 2 years of experience in audit, accounting, or FP&A.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office including advanced Excel skills.

It’d be great if you also have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting or Finance, or related field.
  • 4 years of related experience including budgeting and forecasting.
  • Ability to quickly learn and achieve proficiency in new software applications.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to present clean, organized, and thorough information appropriate for intended audience.
  • Strong ability to develop insightful, value-added, and actionable analyses with detailed explanations regarding drivers of the results; able to produce unambiguous, comprehensive, and accurate interpretations.
  • Self-motivated work style; able to work well with minimal supervision or in a team environment.
