Behavioral Health Clinical Manager, Occupational Therapist

The Behavioral Health Clinical Manager is a Licensed Occupational Therapist working directly with caregivers to coach them in implementing their child’s treatment plan. The ideal candidate would have experience coaching caregivers and families to support their child’s services, have theoretical knowledge of child development, and understand the importance of the caregiver-child relationship. Service modality will be a naturalistic and developmental based model and extensive training will be provided upon hire. This role involves collaboration with Case Managers and all clinical leaders at Easterseals Northern California and partnering with Catalight Care Services for client support and scheduling. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS 

• Work directly with families to create and implement an individualized treatment plan for their child. Service modality will be based on a naturalistic and developmentally based model, under the Behavioral Health Services Program.  
• Collaborate with funders to coordinate the care of clients through collaboration with the individuals/systems involved with the client care, including funders and case managers.  
• Responsible for assessing and addressing risk, escalating high risk clinical concerns to supervisor. 
• Provide clinical supervision and work direction to direct supervisees that include skills enhancement, clinical consultation, and professional development. 
• Meet or exceed Behavioral Health Services Program operating targets as an individual and for supervised team. 
• Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all interventions, assessments, treatment plans, and progress notes in accordance with facility and regulatory guidelines 

• Adhere to the FoC network structure organizational protocols. 
• Ensure clinical quality, compliance, regulatory, and funder requirements are met, and take action if they are not.  
• Partner with colleagues and managers to ensure a positive customer experience for all clients through coordinated service delivery. 
• Maintain necessary continuing education requirements. 
• Support the development of the annual Behavioral Health Services Program V2MOM (Vision, Values, Methods, Obstacles, Measures). 
• Other duties as assigned. 

QUALIFICATIONS 

Minimum Education, Experience & Training Equivalent to: 

• Master's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program. 
• Current California state licensure and certification in Occupational Therapy, in good standing 
• One or more years’ as a licensed clinician. (At least two years is preferred) 
• Two or more years' experience providing staff direction and development in a supervisory role. 

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:   

• Experience providing services to children, adolescents, adults, and families.  
• Theoretical knowledge of childhood development and experience working with families to support the caregiver-child relationship. 
• Commitment to building, developing, and supporting diverse teams.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills;  bilingual ability preferred. 
• Confidentiality and discretion pertaining to the work environment and maintenance of all HIPAA requirements. 
• Ability to interpret and implement policies, procedures and regulations. 
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.) and related computer software.  
• Capacity to consistently demonstrate the use of good judgment and decision-making skills. 
• Ability to develop effective working relationships with individuals at all levels of the organization. 
• Sensitive to working with an ethnically, linguistically, culturally and economically diverse population. 
• Commitment to ongoing training and development as it relates to clinical skills. 

Physical Requirements: 

• Frequent bending, reaching, squatting, kneeling, twisting in order to observe, assess and interact with clients. 
• Ability to stand or sit for extended periods of time, stand for up to 6-8 hours a day. 
• Occasional lifting, carrying, and loading/unloading toys and materials up to and including 50lbs. 
• Visual and auditory ability to work with clients, staff and others in the workplace continuously.
