This position typically works Monday through Saturday with a 6 am start time, allowing you to finish your day before noon. Responsibilities
- Grading embryos according to IETS standards.
- Data Entry.
- Thawing frozen embryos.
- Assisting with fresh and frozen transfers.
- Follow Trans Ova’s policies and procedures.
- Maintain a professional image reflective of TOG’s industry position.
- Inventory Management (both supplies and frozen embryo inventory).
- Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
- Promote and adhere to safety in the workplace.
Requirements
Education Requirements:
- B.S. in Animal Science or a related field; or a Veterinary Technician degree.
Physical Requirements/Working Conditions:
- Ability to sit for long periods of time behind a microscope.
- Good hand-eye coordination.
- Handling dexterity is required for manipulation of equipment and small objects.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close, distance, and peripheral vision, color/pattern recognition, depth perception, and ability to adjust to focus
- Ability to work with liquid nitrogen.
Other skills/experience:
- Strong attention to detail and organization.
