The Role

Do you want to join a team of internationally known experts providing technical consultation and education for pharmaceutical and medical device manufacturers? As a Technical Services Manager, you will be an SME focusing on terminal sterilization in pharmaceutical manufacturing and medical device industries.  The position requires providing technical information and onsite support for global Customers and managing projects related to product technology, application and validation, working closely with other departments including R&D, marketing and sales.  The position offers opportunity to author and publish articles in PDA, ISPE, AAMI and other peer reviewed journals, present at major pharmaceutical/medical device conferences, workshops and training events, and participate in industry associations and committees.  With the right experience, education and applicable skills and knowledge, we may be able to hire at the Senior Technical Services Manager level.  The Technical Services Manager is a home based position and will require 40-50% travel both domestic and international. This is a US home-based position for a biopharmaceutical industry/medical device professional/expert; any US location with proximity to an international airport to support our global Customers. 

What You Will Do

  • Provide technical information and expertise to key Customer accounts for the product family, integrating multiple areas of specialization (e.g. microbiology, engineering, validation, etc.) with the objective of resolving complex pharmaceutical and medical device industry Customer needs.  Support provided through telephone and written correspondence, generation of literature, lab analyses, site evaluations and direct field support. 
  • Manage projects and coordinate and oversee technical and/or lab activities within area of specialization.  Serve as liaison with R&D groups for scientific and technical support.
  • Administer global pharmaceutical and medical device industry Customer and professional education programs.  Present at industry conferences, publish articles and book chapters, and participate in industry associations and task groups.
  • Manage the tasks of one or more assigned team members on a project basis, providing direction and performance feedback, formally or informally. 
  • Contribute ideas and information for new products, processes and applications relative to the business unit.

Education Degree

  • Bachelor's Degree in Science or Engineering General

What You Will Need To Be Successful

  • Bachelor's Degree in Science or Engineering.  Master’s degree preferred.
  • Ten or more years related work experience.  
  • Experience in terminal steam sterilization and/or VHP sterilization desirable
  • Current knowledge of relevant pharmaceutical and medical device subject matter and regulatory requirements in area of specialization, maintained through reading current published literature, attending and presenting at scientific meetings and seminars, and in collaboration with technical experts. 
  • Strong project management skills including excellent verbal & written communication skills as well as presentation skills in both small and large group settings.
  • Advanced computer skills
  • Focused Customer and service orientation with ability to effectively utilize resources for technical information as needed.
  • Demonstrates solid organizational skills, good judgment and ability to think analytically.
  • Ability to travel up to 40-50% annually-domestically and internationally. #LI-KS1
  • May be hired as a Senior level with appropriate experience

 Pay range for this opportunity is $90,250.00 - $121,485.00. This position is eligible for [BONUS PARTICIPATION] OR a [INSERT COMMISSION RATE RANGE, IF APPLICABLE] commission.

 

Minimum pay rates offered will comply with county/city minimums, if higher than range listed.  Pay rates are based on a number of factors, including but not limited to local labor market costs, years of relevant experience, education, professional certifications, foreign language fluency,
