RESPONSIBILITIES
- The Senior Database Administrator (DBA) manages the relevant database technologies used by IT systems.
- This work supports multi-agency investigations targeting priority illicit activities and drug trafficking organized crime networks, Transnational Organized Crime (TOC), and cartels.
- This project provides a variety of current and future IT operational support services that include but are not limited to: program management support; systems engineering, integration, and architecture; identification and tracking of technical requirements for system change requests; system and software development, documentation, and testing; systems administration and analysis; database administration and engineering; quality assurance; cloud architecture and development; technical training and writing; information security; deployment of new capabilities; and help desk/end user support services to support existing systems architecture in an enterprise data center environment.
- Personnel follow an appropriate enterprise Agile methodology that aligns multiple development projects along with operations and maintenance activities and that maximizes value delivery. IT service delivery follows industry standard IT Service Management frameworks to include the Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) v4 and DevSecOps.
- Near future projects include the migration of the current information system components to a containerized, serverless architecture compatible with hybrid on-premises/cloud and full cloud deployments is a key priority. The serverless architecture shall integrate easily with the current systems, networks, and applications and shall support migration quickly and easily to cloud service providers (CSPs) in the future.
- The future serverless architecture solution will require architecture, customization, configuration, and integration and in an incremental rollout.
- This future serverless solution may be required to incorporate the development of public-facing portions of applications that integrate data with the existing database and applications
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Active Secret or above clearance is required
- Experience: At least 15 years
Experience as a database administrator with experience building, maintaining, administering, tuning/optimizing, and supporting databases.
Experience should include installing and configuring database management software, translating database design, allocating hardware resources, and diagnosing database performance issues.
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Certifications preferred include: Possesses an Oracle Certified Professional or equivalent certification in Oracle database technologies.
