The Senior Project Engineer is an experienced project development and design engineering position.  This associate provides technical analysis and oversight for project development activities related to site surveys, energy analysis, savings calculations, scope development, technical reports, and project design engineering. 

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:


Plans, prepares, installs, and maintains all types of HVAC wiring and conduits; systems include pumps, chillers, RTU, S/S, boiler and lighting up fits
Provide electrical instruction to helpers and assistants if needed
Interpret and understand drawings related to assigned projects
Maintain and attend training to update certification in electrical work and practices
Provide support and act as a resource for customers
Works with the installation team the majority of the time
Supervises jobs with Assistant Technicians, temps or helpers
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local laws, legal regulations, and recommended best practices
Collaborate with all Associates to uphold the company’s mission and values
Must be able to work overtime and weekends, as required
Travel up to 25% of the time as required
Assist the installation team with pulling hose.


 

WORK HOURS: Monday thru Friday, overtime/weekends as required, some travel as required

PHYSICAL DEMANDS & ENVIRONMENTAL EXPOSURE:

While performing the duties of this job, the associate is regularly required to talk and hear.  The associate must be able to travel to jobsites as required.  The associate is frequently required to sit, stand, walk, use hands to operate computer keyboard and telephone. The associate is occasionally required to climb, balance, stoop, kneel or crouch. The associate occasionally must lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.  Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

This position works in a typical office environment with occasional visits to job sites job sites, which includes outdoor work, work in mechanical/equipment rooms, and work in customer occupied spaces.  During the job site visits, the associate is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions; moving mechanical parts; high, precarious places; fumes or airborne particles; toxic or caustic chemicals; extreme cold; extreme heat; risk of electrical shock; and vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
QualificationsSKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:


Bachelor’s degree in Engineering from a four-year college or university
10 years of experience in project engineering.
Expert proficiency with load analysis and energy analysis tools such as TRACE 700, System Analyzer, and Chiller Plant Analyzer
Expert knowledge of site auditing, data logging, and troubleshooting systems
Proficiency in Microsoft office programs and AutoCAD required
General familiarity with computer systems and ability to learn software applications as required
Experience with the following are required: Trane TRACE 700, TRACE 3D Plus
Experience with the following are a plus: Revit, MS Visio, MS Project, MS Dynamics SL or similar accounting software, Procore or similar construction management software
Valid Driver License required
Professional Engineer required
CEA, CEM, PEM are a plus
Ability to pass drug screening
Ability to prove US employment eligibility
Must possess a valid driver’s license
