What you’ll do:
- Design, implement, and manage security tools and measures to protect data, systems, and networks.
- Develop, implement, and maintain security policies, procedures, and protocols.
- Monitor and analyze network traffic to detect and respond to suspicious activity and potential threats.
- Conduct regular security assessments and vulnerability scans to identify and mitigate risks.
- Respond to security and IT incidents, perform investigations, and recommend remediation measures.
- Manage and maintain security systems, including firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS), and antivirus software.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and frameworks, including SOC 2 and ISO 27001.
- Administer and manage Mobile Device Management (MDM) solutions to maintain compliance across employee devices.
- Serve as the point of contact for IT system-related issues, including access control, authentication, and general troubleshooting.
- Provide training and support to staff on security best practices and IT processes.
- Maintain and manage G-Suite and other essential business applications.
- Stay current with emerging security trends, threats, and technologies to enhance the company's security posture.
What you have:
- 5+ years of experience in IT and cybersecurity roles, with hands-on experience in designing, implementing, and managing security tools.
- Strong knowledge of security principles, protocols, and technologies.
- Hands-on experience with security tools and technologies (e.g., firewalls, IDS/IPS, SIEM, and antivirus software).
- Proficiency in network and system administration.
- Familiarity with regulatory requirements and standards, including SOC 2 and ISO 27001.
- Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to manage IT support across a remote working environment and diverse time zones.
- Proficiency in managing and maintaining G-Suite and other business applications.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences.
Extras you bring to the table:
- Experience managing and securing cloud environments (e.g., AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud).
- Knowledge of scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash) for automation of security and IT tasks.
- Experience supporting a remote environment across multiple time zones.
