Job Description
The Solutions Architect - Technical sales will work closely with both the Sales and Technical Development teams to design and present tailored solutions that meet customer needs. This role involves engaging with clients to understand their requirements and translating them into technical solutions that align with business objectives. The Solutions Architect will also provide technical expertise during the sales process, ensuring the proposed solutions are feasible and scalable. Additionally, they will support ongoing technical development and integration efforts to deliver successful project outcomes.Key Responsibilities:
Lead and manage a team of engineers providing guidance and support, with an emphasis on leveraging military field experience.
Oversee the hardware and software development and integration processes, ensuring solutions meet rigorous field conditions.
Support Sales and Business Development teams in pursuit of new business opportunities, especially those requiring deep military systems integration knowledge.
Collaborate with Customers, translating military and field requirements into cost-effective technical solutions.
Travel to domestic and international customer sites (up to 25%) to support integration activities, utilizing field experience to ensure smooth implementation.
Serve as the primary point of contact for customer engineering and integration projects, ensuring customer satisfaction and quality delivery by understanding military operational requirements.
Maintain a strong customer focus and excellent communication with stakeholders, particularly in understanding and developing customer requirements.
Required Skills and Experience:
Active US Government Secret Security Clearance. Security Clearances are granted to US Citizens.
Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline (equivalent technical experience will supplement in lieu of degree)
10+ years of experience in software and system development and integration, with a focus on Command and Control (C2), Air Defense, and ISR technologies.
Extensive field experience and understanding of military operational environments.
Experience in leading multi-disciplined technical/engineering teams to deliver technology solutions.
Proposal development experience.
Experience and understanding of Technical Project Management, especially in military contexts.
Strong understanding of tactical data networks and troubleshooting skills.
Desired Skills and Experience:
Direct operational and integration experience with systems such as ADSI, AFATDS, ADAM Cell, PATRIOT, THAAD, AMDPCS, FBCB2/JBC-P, AMDWS, FAAD, IBCS, C-RAM, and C2BMC.
Experience in Customer Solution Engineering and R&D activities.
Familiarity with tactical data links (Link-11/16/22 Systems) and satellite communications (STJ and JREAP-A).
Strong systems engineering/engineering background.
