Job Description

Senior Director, Program Management - Chief of Staff

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Directing, planning and prioritizing operational initiatives/projects on behalf of HDD business unit, as well as independent leadership of special projects

• Acting as the point of contact for HDD GM/EVP, executive leadership team, and business stakeholders

• Participating in the development of financial strategies inclusive of work on various aspects of organizational finance for HDD business unit

• Providing strategic advice to HDD GM/EVP and executive leadership team to improve daily management of organization, including problem resolution approaches and procedures

Qualifications

REQUIRED:

  • BS/BA or MS degree with an Engineering emphasis
  • 10 years + related experience on program/project management
  • MUST HAVE Knowledge of Western Digital HDD products and services
  • Strong capability in Human Capital Resource Planning and projections 
  • Have high Financial Acumen
  • Exceptional verbal/written communication and presentation skills with executive presence and confidence
  • Result driven and able to motivate, influence and aspire both executive/senior leaders and peer team members
  • High analytical skills, be able to see patterns, be a fast thinker and a good decision maker with an agile approach
  • Overcomes obstacles and constraints without becoming defeated or discouraged
  • Exceptional verbal/written communication and presentation skills with executive presence and confidence
  • Experience as  a renowned performer with solid leadership skills and a strong sense of self/personal presence
  • Thorough understanding of HDD product/services acumen and competitive market
  • Willingness to work hard and take direction but also creatively solve problems for which the answers aren’t always obvious
  • Strong cross-functional influence and independent leadership; while being able to adapt to work productively in the face of ambiguity or uncertainty
