About the role
The Accounting Clerk performs a variety of accounting and administrative support to the Accounts Receivable department related to customer account maintenance, cash application, invoicing and reporting.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Process payments via ACH, check and credit cards
- Request missing supporting documentation from customers to verify payments
- Monitor customer account details for non-payments, delay payments and other irregularities, providing support to the Collection team.
- Provide back-up support to the Billing team, assisting with invoice and statement delivery
- Maintain accurate record keeping for auditing and reporting processes
- Performs other accounting and general office duties as requested.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent
- 1-2 years of accounting experience
- Knowledge of office administration and procedures
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (i.e. Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Discretion and trustworthiness due to frequent contact with confidential material
- Good communication and organizational skills
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk working on a computer
- Occasionally stoop, kneel or crouch
- Use hands and arms to reach for, grasp and manipulate objects
- Frequently lift objects weighting up to 50 pounds
