About this opportunity

Welcome to the Business Continuity & Crisis Management (BCCM) team. In this role, you will oversee BCCM risks and issues and advise on how we control, mitigate or avoid them. E.g. how should we handle identified risks and issues? And which actions or controls should we then implement to mitigate those risks and issues? This is where your expertise is needed to contribute with a risk and issue management perspective, so we can prepare the organization for potential operational disruptions while ensuring ensure continuity for Nordea.


What you’ll be doing:

  • Drive continuous oversight of risks and issues in BCCM
  • Advise on risks and issues and help decision-makers in understanding consequences of decisions
  • Participating in risk assessment and issue mitigation activities, supporting and guiding the areas in keeping a comprehensive end-to-end risk mitigating activities overview
  • Engage as a sparring partner in alignment and assessment of processes and frameworks
  • Facilitate and contribute to forums and interact with stakeholders from the three lines of defence as well as risk reduction plan project teams 
  • Bring insight on the risk, issue and control portfolio and support in understanding the impact and linkage this has with other remediation initiatives.


The role is based in Malmö; Gdynia; Helsinki; Stockholm; Warszawa.

Your experience and background: 

  • Experience from working with non-financial risk projects and/or regulatory implementations in the financial sector or in another heavily regulated industry
  • Knowledge within business continuity management and crisis management is a merit
  • Experience from working in a “three lines of defence risk and control environment” and knowledge of working with audit/assurance functions is considered as advantage (e.g. Group Internal Audit or 2nd Line of Defence)
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively interface with a diverse, global and cross-functional teams and large-scale projects.
  • Ability to influence across functions and enterprise-wide.
