We are seeking a Government Business Information Technology (IT) Co-op to join the Humana Government Business IT team in August 2025. Humana Government Business (HGB) is a subsidiary of Humana Inc, that focuses on a government contract called Tricare.  HGB supports the Tricare East Region and administers the health program for military personnel and their family members.

The Government Business IT Co-op will have the opportunity to research and resolve technical problems in partnership with the IT support teams. The role could include responsibilities like responding to telephone, email, and online requests for technical support and documenting, tracking, and monitoring the problem using applicable systems and tools. The co-op will have an opportunity to be exposed to department and organizational strategy and operating objectives while also learning how to function within a corporate environment.  

The co-op maintains, repairs, and troubleshoots desktop hardware and software packages. This person is also responsible for customer service and end-user training, researching and resolving technical problems of moderate complexity, typically escalated from first line support teams 

This is an In-Person Co-Op in Louisville, KY and will require in-office work.

Required Qualifications 

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in an Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Sciences, or similar field. 

  • Must be located in Louisville, KY and able to go into the Louisville office 5 days/week during the Co-Op period(s) 

  • Ability to start in August 2025 and work for 6 months to 12 months with the ability to extend  

  • Strong interpersonal, written and oral communication skills 

  • Must not require sponsorship to work in the U.S. now or in the future 

  • Must be passionate about contributing to an organization focused on continuously improving consumer experiences 

Preferred Qualifications 

  • Have a strong academic history, with a minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA being desired 

  • Be actively involved on-campus and/or in the community 

  • Possess an interest in working in the healthcare industry 

  • Previous experience working in a customer service-related job or internship

Pay Range

The compensation range below reflects a good faith estimate of starting base pay for full time (40 hours per week) employment at the time of posting. The pay range may be higher or lower based on geographic location and individual pay will vary based on demonstrated job related skills, knowledge, experience, education, certifications, etc.


 

$37,440 - $87,500 per year
