Job Description:

Airbus Robotics is looking for an Applications Engineer 2 to join our Engineering team based in Mukilteo, WA.

Annual Salary range of $80,000-$97,000 based on applicant profile.

Your challenges:

• Investigate product issues during new product testing and bring up at Airbus Robotics and at customer sites post-delivery, support root cause analysis of failures, and propose remediation in a timely fashion.
• Analyze customer feedback including warranty requests and generate prioritized actions to address shortcomings associated with the company’s products.
• Monitor customer satisfaction and machine performance.
• Perform troubleshooting and limited repairs at customer sites as well as at Airbus Robotics facilities in Seattle or in the EU.
• Review existing product design, identify weaknesses, propose, implement, and monitor the effectiveness of improvements.
• Perform application programming on specialized platforms with applications in automation and robotics.
• Serve as a liaison with customers to resolve problems and inquiries.
• Provide customer on-site and in-office training for operators and maintenance personnel.
• Validate early concepts of corrective designs and thoroughly test them.
• Create a strategy for the verification of the corrective designs and participate in verification activities.
• Interact with customers, marketing, and sales as required to capture user needs and look for opportunities to improve products.
• Support sales of new, upgraded design improvements and support contracts with the guidance of the department.
• Develops, plans, and executes a project and leads one or more operators, technicians, and/or associate engineers on the execution of design tasks, prototype builds, and test setups. Designs high-quality experiments with fast iteration speed. Is responsible for the execution of an entire project task. Leads project tasks and is responsible with minimal guidance for technical leadership within those project tasks. Owns the quality of execution, iteration speed, quality of decision-making, and quality of the results (as appropriate) of project tasks.
• Level 2 in at least two technical competences relevant to the company. Level 2 is indicative of knowledge that can be applied with guidance or supervision.
• Exercises discretion and independent judgment in the application of specialized knowledge on work that is predominantly intellectual and for which the output produced, or the result accomplished cannot be standardized in relation to a given period of time.
• Troubleshoot and resolve electromechanical issues. This includes work with common tools such as DMMs, oscilloscopes, etc.
• Perform hands-on work when needed.
• Establish and maintain positive customer relationships.
