Acentra is looking for a Technical Business Analyst to join our growing team.

Job Summary:

The role of the Technical Business Analyst is to analyze business problems, identify gaps, and provide technical support in areas around moderately complex information systems under moderate supervision. This role oversees several requirements throughout the project life cycle and requires a strong understanding in SQL coding and relational databases. This role is a member of the Business Analyst Team and reports directly to the Business Analysis, Director.

Job Responsibilities:

·       Functions as an independent contributor and works under moderate supervision with clearly defined guidelines and direction.

·       Develops clear and concise documentation related to moderately complex projects and information systems

·       Translate business requirements into functional and technical specifications and work closely with developers and IT staff to ensure successful implementation.

·       Supports team to develop detailed documentation of business requirements and writes complex SQL queries and code to extract, manipulate, and analyze data from various sources, such as relational databases and data warehouses.

·       Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of the company's healthcare data and related systems, including electronic medical records (EMR), billing, and claims processing systems.

·       Collaborate with cross-functional teams including IT, clinical operations, and quality management to gather and analyze business requirements.

·       Identifies and manages scope of changes based on client requirements.

·       Participates in requirements management and design session activities

·       Supports testing, user acceptance testing, and implementation of information systems

·       Provides end-user support on systems and processes, as needed.

·       Ensures bi-directional traceability of requirements

·       Tracks and reports status of work assignments and escalates issues and risks to senior management as required

·       Engages in solutions development to existing business process problems

·       Demonstrates strong knowledge of Business Analysis methodologies, best practices, and procedures; and applies them to projects to ensure that business analysis objectives are achieved

·       Acts as a liaison between the client and the technology teams

·       Possesses unwavering commitment to customer service and operational excellence

·       Keeps abreast of new technology and market developments (including federal regulations)

·       Requests and gives both negative and positive feedback

·       Supports technical and business analysis mentoring of Associate Business Analysts  

Required Qualifications/Experience:

·       Bachelor’s Degree Computer Science, information systems, healthcare administration, or a closely related field. Equivalent work experience considered.

·       2 – 7 years of business analysis or related experience

·       Strong proficiency in writing SQL code and working with relational databases, such as SQL Server, Oracle, or MySQL.

·       Experience with systems development life cycle (SDLC)

·       Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Visio, with a working knowledge of the rest of the Microsoft Office suite of applications

·       Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

·       Ability to work within a team, willingly share time, knowledge and information with others      

Preferred Qualifications/Experience:

·       Business Analysis certification

·       Domain knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, or healthcare verticals

·       Knowledge of healthcare billing and claims processing systems

·       Familiarity with healthcare data standards, such as HL7, FHIR, and ICD-10.
