This position provides in home support to families by teaching daily living skills, assisting with essential tasks, and helping parents work toward healthy routines. The role supports the work of caseworkers and contributes to positive outcomes for children and their caregivers. As a Social Services Aide 1, you will perform the following duties:
- Family Support: Teach skills related to budgeting, hygiene, parenting, nutrition, and home care
- Transportation Help: Drive consumers to supervised visits and needed appointments
- Child Assistance: Provide child care when necessary during family appointments
- Documentation Tasks: Write reports for each appointment and contribute to treatment planning meetings
- Home Visits: Travel to homes including those with stairs or limited access and complete assigned tasks
- Clerical Duties: Assist with completing forms and supporting office tasks as needed
Work Schedule and Additional Information:
- Full-time employment
- Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with 60-minute lunch.
- Possible travel requiring overnight stays. Possible after-hours appointments for supervised visitation and transportation.
- Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.
- Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- Graduation from high school; or
- Any equivalent combination of training and experience.
Other Requirements:

- You must be able to perform essential job functions.
Legal Requirements:
- A conditional offer of employment will require a drug screening.
- You must pass a background investigation.
- This position falls under the provisions of the Child Protective Services Law.
- Under the Law, a conditional offer of employment will require submission and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports including, but not limited to, PA State Police clearance, PA Child Abuse history clearance, and FBI Fingerprint clearance.
