Job Description Summary
This role reports to the VP of Investor Relations (IR) and will work closely with the CFO, Communications, FP&A, Controllership and Legal teams on investor communications that cover strategic, operating, and financial messaging.This role will assist with supporting, targeting, and messaging GE Vernova’s results, strategy, growth opportunities and business initiatives in a way that provides clarity, consistency and supports widespread understanding among investors and analysts. The ideal candidate has strong communication and finance skills, with business segment experience preferably.
Job Description
Manages the quarterly earnings process for IR and interfaces proactively with other key GE Vernova functions (FP&A, Comms) during earnings.
Serves as the team process leader throughout the earnings process to develop earnings material (PR, Slides & Scripts) and to manage the earnings calendar through the 3-5 week process.
Coordinates data gathering, concurrences of messaging, discussions of results and outlooks with operating staff and their CFO’s and sign-offs with Controller, BU CFO’s / FP&A, Legal, Corp Communications and others.
Develops quarterly earnings materials for the CFO – including slides and script – and works with FP&A to develop recommendations for GEV’s financial guidance.
Coordinates and helps lead development of presentations and other materials for investor days and conferences.
Develops and enhances GE Vernova relationships with sell side analysts across Industrials, Clean Energy, etc. – US and abroad.
Engages regularly with sell side and buy side analysts and PMs to communicate our investor story.
Develops materials and meeting schedules for investor conferences and events.
Participates in investor or industry conferences, attends with CEO/CFO or VP-IR.
Maintains ownership of the investor relations website – working with the IR analyst.
Develops and maintains deep content knowledge on GE Vernova’s various businesses, operations and performance – and communicate this to others.
Serves as the Financial Management Program (FMP) assignment leader, overseeing FMPs that rotate through IR in 6-month rotations.
Develops a deep and broad network of individuals across the GE Vernova businesses.
Manages and oversees all vendor and supplier management, including various software and 3rd party services.
Supports CEO, CFO and VP IR on ad hoc requests.
Qualifications/Requirements
Work Experience:
5+ years experience of increasing responsibility and complexity in Investor Relations, the Securities Industry or Corporate Finance required.
Experience at a public energy or power-related company (OEM, utility, etc.) is preferred
Education:
Bachelor’s degree or global equivalent in related discipline
Master's degree or global equivalent is preferred
Desired Characteristics
Proficient understanding of financial and industry fundamentals to support, draft, and manage communications to shareholders and internal stakeholders.
In-depth understanding or strong interest in the financial markets and financial modeling techniques used by security analysts to project a company's operating and financial performance.
Ability to interact with Senior Leadership (VP level) and with external institutions (e.g. banks, customers, ECAs, other financial institutions and/or government bodies)
Ability to draft messaging to be used by senior leaders to convey business strategy and growth opportunities to external constituents
Knowledge of and interest in ESG concepts and ability to synthesize a breadth of ESG issues
Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint; knowledge of a Workiva a plus
Strong interpersonal skills, curiosity, thirst for learning, and strong communication skills
