In NC, we operate three pharmaceutical manufacturing facilities that are responsible for fulfilling different steps in our injectable and oral treatment supply chains. Our newer Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients (API) facility in Clayton, NC sits on 825,000 square-feet of state-of-the-art equipment, and houses the Fermentation, Recovery and Purification in the production of ingredients for Novo Nordisk’s innovative oral products. The Position
Responsible for project management activities related to the various projects within API US IT Automation. Tasks include the oversight of the scope, design, budget & schedule for the various projects in the portfolio. Manage the deliverables & personnel within the project to ensure project objectives are met as they relate to cost, quality & delivery.

Essential Functions
- Responsible for executing IT Automation projects of various complexities within a GMP manufacturing setting at API-US
- Follows all safety & environmental requirements in the performance of duties
- Manages the triple constraints of budget, timeline & scope to meet expectations of both customers & management
- Responsible for adherence to mechanism for monitoring project progress, intervention & problem solving with other line managers or personnel
- Responsible for leading project teams of various expertise to complete end to end project execution
- Collaborates extensively with cross functional work package owners to ensure tasks & requirements are communicated & followed up on
- Adjusts priorities to multiple demands & unanticipated events; demonstrates flexibility in response to changing circumstances
- Responsible for communications to management & other pertinent units
- Assists with any training required of personnel supporting the project
- Ensure that installation, troubleshooting, qualification & validation of equipment meets all commitments laid out by the overall project
- Responsible for development & execution of projects identified as process needs & improvement opportunities
- Other accountabilities, as assigned
Physical Requirements
Ability to work in an open office environment with the possibility of frequent distraction. Ability to travel up to 10% of the time. (% can change on a case-by-case basis based on the role.)
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in engineering or related technical field required
- Minimum of five (5) years of experience in IT Automation required
- Minimum of five (5) years manufacturing experience in a pharmaceutical environment preferred
- Minimum of five (5) years proven project management skills required
- Excellent technical writing & oral communication skills & excellent presentation & facilitation skills required
- Expert knowledge in being a project team leader with excellent negotiation & conflict resolutions skills preferred
- Capable of establishing & communicating high standards & expectations for performance & holding team members accountable for results preferred
- Ability to interact with all levels of the organization required
- Ability to operate with a high level of autonomy & authority preferred
- Strong analytical/reasoning, organizational & multi-tasking skills required
