Food Server - Ginger (Union) (MGM National Harbor)

THE JOB:  

As a Food Server, your main role is to efficiently take and deliver customer orders, maintain table cleanliness, ensure guest satisfaction, and handle check finalization. Additionally, they are responsible for performing side tasks and ensuring overall cleanliness of their assigned stations.  

THE DAY-TO-DAY:  

• Greet guests in a positive, friendly manner and make them feel welcome 

• Knowledgeable of selling techniques and service delivery of menu items of every course and both non and alcoholic beverages 

•  Maintain table cleanliness utilizing a silent service approach 

• itemize bills correctly and efficiently secure payment 

• Maintain cleanliness and stock of assigned areas, side stations, tables and Point of Sale (POS) stations 

• Anticipate the guests’ needs and respond appropriately with a sense of urgency 

• Communicate with management, chefs and culinary staff in order to fulfill and address any issues or needs requested by guests and or other employees 

THE HOURS OF OPERATIONS:

Sunday to Thursday: 11:00 AM to 11:00 PM
Friday to Saturday: 11:00 AM to 12:00 AM

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:  

• Is comfortable in a restaurant kitchen and with the use of culinary tools, equipment, and techniques  

• Takes pride in their work, provides a safe environment, and maintains health standards  

• Describes themselves as detail-oriented  

• Looks forward to working with a team to provide positive experiences  

• Enjoys helping others and likes to make a good impression  

• Can handle multiple tasks at one time  

• Is at least 18 years of age or older

• Has previous customer service experience

• Can work varied shifts to include weekends and holidays

THE STARTING PAY:

• $8.78/Hour
