JOB SUMMARY
The Academic Resource Center is seeking dedicated and enthusiastic individuals to join our academic support team as Peer Academic Peer Academic Success Coaches. Peer Academic Success Coaches play a crucial role in fostering student success by providing one-on-one coaching, mentorship, and academic support.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
•Conduct one-on-one coaching sessions with assigned students to discuss academic goals, challenges, and strategies for success.
•Provide support in areas such as time management, study skills, note-taking, and goal setting.
•Collaborate with students to create personalized academic improvement plans.
•Assist students in accessing and utilizing campus resources, tutoring services, and academic workshops.
•Foster a positive and inclusive environment that promotes student engagement and success.
•Keep accurate records of coaching sessions and student progress.
FEDERAL WORK STUDY REQUIREMENT
NO -- Federal Work Study eligibility not required
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
•Currently enrolled as an undergraduate.
•Strong academic standing with a demonstrated understanding of effective study strategies.
•Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
•Ability to empathize with and motivate peers facing academic challenges.
•Reliable and punctual with a commitment to maintaining confidentiality.
•Previous peer mentoring, coaching, or leadership experience is a plus.
