With a focus on growth and sustainability GE Vernova Grid Solutions plays a pivotable role in integrating Renewables onto the grid to drive to carbon neutral.<br><br>Due to the growth of our Grid business, we are currently looking for our next<b> Commissioning Engineer (m/f/d)</b> in the "Construction & Commissioning" function to participate in this energy transition for Central Europe.<br><br>About the Role <br><br>The <b>Commissioning Engineer</b> shall be responsible for testing and executing commissioning activities of various projects under execution as per GEV Quality, Construction & Commissioning & EHS Processes.<br><br><b>You</b> will report to the Regional Commissioning Team Leader.<br><br>The position requires <b>100% construction site presence</b> during the execution phase. <b>AC & FACTS</b> projects are located mainly in <b>Germany</b>, with a growing business in <b>Poland</b>. The <b>HVDC</b> sites are located in <b>Germany</b> and <b>Netherlands</b> as well as in <b>Singapore</b>, <b>Duba</b>i and <b>Batam</b> for the platform construction.<br><br><b>Mission description</b><br><ul><li>Liaise with design office and PM team for timely issuance of data required for preparation of commissioning site works (specs, designs, BOQ, material lists, ...)</li><li>Prepare Commissioning documentation like ITPs, Checklists etc.</li><li>Electrical and functional testing (hands on testing as standalone tester) of Primary and Secondary devices on the switchyards</li><li>Publish test reports and follow up completion of relevant quality documentation. Complying with the contract requirements and the project Quality Plan</li><li>Follow up, be the point of contact and assist in testing and commissioning done by 3rd parties under relevant scope.</li><li>Monitoring, recording and reporting of the given work progress</li><li>Ensure all C&P testing and commissioning activities are carried out in compliance with safety requirements, quality standards, and applicable regulations.</li><li>Maintain effective communication with customers, contractors, and internal stakeholders during site execution.</li></ul><br><br><b>How You'll Make an Impact</b><br><ul><li>You will actively advance the Energy Transition by bringing our AC, FACTS and HVDC projects to a successful completion with our customers</li><li>You will support our Commissioning Department with your expertise and will develop yourself with the state-of-the-art technologies</li></ul><br><br><b>What You Bring</b><br><ul><li>Completed degree in electrical engineering, energy technology, or a comparable qualification.</li><li>Knowledge in elements of electrical substations: CT/VTs, CBs, Protection Relays, Control Systems, Transformers etc.</li><li>Significant knowledge and of experience in Commissioning of substations, Power Plants or HVDC Systems.</li><li>Fluent in English, German language or additional language skills are a plus.</li><li>Willingness to work on construction sites in Germany and abroad, and optional assignments on offshore platforms.</li><li>German driver's license class B</li></ul><br><br><b>Your opportunities for personal growth</b><br><ul><li>Development as Senior Commissioning Engineer and Commissioning Manager</li><li>Development as Technical Expert</li><li>Development in Project Management</li></ul><br><br><b> Why we come to work: </b><br><br>At <b>GE Vernova,</b> our employees are always up for the challenge - and we're always driven to find the best solution.
