This is a professional position responsible for facilitating the collaborative work of multidisciplinary team (MDT) staffings. The position must be able to coordinate and facilitate staffings that may result in competing opinions and recommendations from team members that may include the Department, Community-Based Care Lead Agencies, Case Management organizations, parents, community service providers, and other persons involved in the life of the child for whom the MDT has been convened. 

Duties and Responsibilities:    

• Under the supervision of the circuit specific OMC Manager to service the entire circuit assigned.  Assist and create high quality data tracking reporting for the investigative quality of investigative work and ensures compliance with the processes and procedures.   Assists in circuit wide monthly performance reviews, improvement plans and ongoing projects.
• Prepares, analyzes and reviews data and special project assignments at the discretion of the assigned circuit OMC Manager and regional management.
• Responsible for data analysis, tracking and reporting outcomes and the provision of technical assistance and consultation to front line staff, supervisors, and managers.   Able to provide training and technical assistance as needed to all levels of protective investigations staff and ensures compliance with the processes and procedures.   Has the ability to identify trends and patterns in investigative work and to determine areas of improvement, identify root causes of problems and develop countermeasures to implement to include creating written documentation and planning.
• Provides advice and assistance to the Child Protective Investigations Supervisor and Program Administrator in the planning, implementation, and evaluation of existing operations, systems, and procedures.   Assists the OMC Manager in analyzing and designing documents to implement internal reporting systems and procedures for investigations. Analyzes operational and administrative systems throughout Investigations and develops integrated reports used to evaluate operational effectiveness and efficiency. Has the ability to identify and recommend trainings to the training manager to address areas where individual and/or unit performance improvement is required. Partner with PA's, Supervisors and CPIs who are struggling with maintaining performance/quality.    
• Reviews administrative policies, procedures, guidelines and related directives to be implemented; evaluates impact on operations; identifies potential problems; recommends appropriate action.
• Reviews documented investigative activities  to ensure that the work reviewed meets the standard for quality and is aligned with Operation Procedure and local standards. 
• Reviews  data from the Quality Office on a Montly/Quarterly/Yearly basis to identity areas of improvement for the region and reviews investigations to address areas of need.  Monitors life of case reviews and tracks RFA for timely and acurate documentation. 
• Provides initial and ongoing technical support for new staff. Also provides special training as required by PA or CPIS (includes 1:1, and group training on specific issues).
• Performs other duties as required.

 

Knowledge, skills and abilities, including, utilization, of equipment, required for the position:

• Knowledge in Florida's Practice Model and Florida’s official electronic system of record, Florida Safe Family Network (FSFN).  Experience in Microsoft Office, minimum of three years of Child Welfare experience, excellent written and oral communication skills; strong interpersonal skills relative to diverse populations in academic, public health, and community settings. Excellent skills in public speaking, facilitation, and collaborative problem-solving. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple competing deadlines. Analytical, decision making, and organizational skills.
