Your expertise will serve as the backbone to guide and support your project team in various capacities.  Sharing your enthusiasm and experience, you'll empower your colleagues, encouraging them to embrace new challenges and excel. Collaborating with the team, you'll actively contribute to refining our product proposition for new clients and grow our in-house team of engineering experts.</p> <h3><strong>Role responsibilities: </strong></h3> <ul> <li>Work on custom projects for clients, sometimes very closely with their team</li> <li>Keep healthy communication with your project manager and client</li> <li>Take an active part in all project stages – analysis, estimation, documentation, coding, bug fixing and support</li> <li>Develop our own products</li> <li>Learn from your colleagues and teach them what you know </li> </ul> <h3><strong>Minimum qualifications: </strong></h3> <p><strong><span>We want all new hires to succeed in their roles at Valtech. If you do not meet all of the preferred qualifications, we still encourage you to apply.</span><span> </span></strong></p> <ul> <li>5+ years of commercial software experience</li> <li>Excellent understanding of Java 8+</li> <li>Excellent knowledge of OOP, data structures, and algorithms</li> <li>Understanding of Big O notation and performance analysis</li> <li>Excellent knowledge of Spring and Spring Boot</li> <li>Experience with git or other version control</li> <li>Excellent knowledge and understanding of software architectural and design patterns and experience as software architect</li> <li>Experience with distributed architecture principles and solutions for performance, scale, and reliability</li> <li>Experience building and packaging components/services, cloud/on-premise deployments, CI/CD pipelines, operational monitoring and observability, experience working with Docker and orchestration of containers</li> <li>Experience with databases (relational and non-relational), database architecture and distributed transaction management; fluent in SQL</li> <li>Solid understanding of network and content delivery services (VPC services, Gateway services, NLB, ALB)</li> <li>Experience with distributed system security</li> <li>Experience with writing/reviewing technical design documents, choosing right technology stack</li> <li>Experience working in Agile/Scrum</li> <li>Good communication and analytical skills</li> </ul> <h3><strong>Preferred qualifications:</strong></h3> <ul> <li>Experience building RESTful APIs</li> <li>Experience handling large data sets</li> <li>Integration experience with third party API’s</li> <li>Performance analysis of JVM technology</li> <li>Experience working with Kubernetes</li> <li>Experience with Spring Cloud or Quarkus</li> <li>Experience with Maven/Gradle/Ant</li> <li>Experience with developing batch/streaming data processing pipelines</li> <li>Advanced knowledge in databases such as partitioning and indexing</li> <li>Knowledge in Elastic services and tools is a plus</li> <li>Knowledge in Salesforce is a plus</li> <li>Experience with at least one of the following databases: MySQL, MariaDB, PostgreSQL</li> <li>Experience with at least one of the following databases: MongoDB, DynamoDB, Redshift, Cassandra or other</li> </ul> <h3><strong>The benefits:</strong></h3> <p><span lang="EN-US"><span>Beyond a competitive full compensation package, </span><span>we pride ourselves on offering you flexibility, career advancement &amp; learning and development.
