The Role
We are seeking a dynamic, creative and execution-oriented Director, Content and Consumer PR to lead our national social media and content strategy as well as to create programs and events that will drive consumer-focused PR from our office in New York City. This role will be responsible for developing and executing compelling content, programs and social media campaigns that drive brand awareness, engagement, and member love across all national markets. You will be a key driver in building a vibrant online community and fostering meaningful interactions with our members, while closely partnering with internal customer support teams to ensure a seamless customer experience.
Responsibilities
We are seeking a dynamic, creative and execution-oriented Director, Content and Consumer PR to lead our national social media and content strategy as well as to create programs and events that will drive consumer-focused PR from our office in New York City. This role will be responsible for developing and executing compelling content, programs and social media campaigns that drive brand awareness, engagement, and member love across all national markets. You will be a key driver in building a vibrant online community and fostering meaningful interactions with our members, while closely partnering with internal customer support teams to ensure a seamless customer experience.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement a comprehensive national social media strategy aligned with marketing goals and brand guidelines, while establishing a consistent brand voice and tone across all platforms
- Identify and capitalize on emerging social media trends and technologies, and develop and manage a social media calendar to ensure timely and consistent content delivery
- Establish events and programs that drive goodwill and positive member-focused press, and lead agency relationships to deliver on objectives as needed
- Lead the creation of engaging and relevant content for social media platforms, including text, images, videos, and live streams, and oversee the production of high-quality visual and video content
- Manage content distribution and ensure it aligns with the national content calendar to drive engagement and brand consistency
- Foster a vibrant online community across all social media platforms, developing strategies to increase follower growth, engagement, and managing online reputation
- Track, analyze, and report on key social media metrics to measure campaign effectiveness and ROI, generating insights and dashboards to communicate results to senior leadership
- Utilize data and social listening tools to optimize social media strategies and content performance
- Collaborate with internal customer support teams to address inquiries and resolve issues on social media, ensuring seamless communication and a positive customer experience
- Identify and cultivate relationships with influencers and brand ambassadors, executing and tracking influencer marketing campaigns to increase brand awareness and engagement, while managing budgets for social media campaigns
- Proven experience in leading national social media and PR strategies for large brands, in house or at agency
- Events and consumer oriented program strategy and execution experience including the measurement of these initiatives
- Strong understanding of social media platforms, trends, and best practices
- Proficiency in analytics tools and reporting, especially for social media
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Experience with social listening tools and crisis communication
- Member-centric industry experience such as DTC, hospitality, consumer products, travel
- Knowledge of video production, editing, graphic design, and visual content creation
- Established network of contacts in the social media and influencer marketing space
- Experience with paid social media campaigns
- Ability to come to office at least 4 days a week on average
