Sr Field Technician Nagele

At KWS Benelux B.V. we are looking for a motivated Sr. Field Technician for our expanding Hybrid Potato activities in Nagele. In this role, you will support field and greenhouse operations and contribute to high-quality potato, cereals and oilseed trials.

The KWS polder station in Nagele (Flevoland) consists of approximately 100 ha of arable farming with research and breeding activities for various crops within the cultivation plan. The technical team consists of 30 employees responsible for a wide range of activities year-round.

 

Key responsibilities:

• Support field and greenhouse trials across potatoes, cereals, and oilseed crops
• Carry out planting, harvesting, assessments, and selection activities
• Process samples and accurately record trial data
• Operate tractors and agricultural machinery for field operations
• Assist with greenhouse crossing and true potato seed activities
• Identify process improvements and support day‑to‑day trial activities
• Coordinate with colleagues and guide seasonal workers

 

Your profile:

• MBO‑level education, preferably in agriculture or a related field
• Practical agricultural knowledge and experience with field operations
• Able to independently operate tractors and agricultural machinery; experience with GPS systems
• In possession of driving licences B and T (forklift certificate is a plus)
• Good command of Dutch (mandatory) and a working knowledge of English
• Comfortable using computers and Microsoft 365 (Word, Excel)
• Accurate, hands‑on, and able to work independently and within a (international) team
