Position Purpose: This is a Full time position.

• Directly accountable to the Pharmacist for the quick and accurate preparation of drug and related documents for the care of patients.

Position Summary:

• All drugs and documents will be checked prior to leaving the pharmacy; however technicians must strive for accuracy.  Sterility of injections must be maintained at all times.

What you will do:

• The Technician is responsible for the proper care and cleaning of the laminar flow hoods and all other equipment, in the pharmacy, used to compound or  pre-package medications.

• Additionally, the technician is responsible for maintaining adequate supplies of medications by ensuring all items are recorded on the order log.

What you will need:

• Licensure/Certification/Registration: Although not required a Pharmacy Technician Certification associate degree are desirable and/or registration as Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT).

• Education: High School Diploma or equivalent degree.

• Experience: Experience necessary to demonstrate competence
