The Opportunity:
CACI is seeking a motivated Accounting Intern to join our Corporate Accounting team in Reston, VA. This internship offers a hybrid work schedule with the expectation that the intern will be present in the office 4-5 days per week.


Responsibilities:

You will assist with general financial accounting and reporting activities as well as support monthly, quarterly, and annual accounting processes, including:

• Helping prepare and record journal entries
• Assisting with monthly account reconciliations
• Contributing to meeting internal and external financial reporting deadlines
• Learn about the financial statement audit process
• Gain exposure to lease accounting under ASC 842
• Collaborate with team members on month-end close procedures
• Help maintain accurate documentation for reports and tasks
• Research accounting and financial questions under supervision
• Observe and learn about GAAP compliance and company procedures

Qualifications:

Required: 

• Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's degree program in Accounting or related field
• Strong academic performance and genuine interest in accounting
• Basic understanding of accounting principles
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and willingness to learn new software
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities

Desired:

• Familiarity with Deltek Costpoint, Workday, or Cognos reporting
• Interest in government contracting
