We are looking for an experienced Data Lake Architect/Administrator to oversee and manage our data lake environment. The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in data warehousing and data analytics, with a strong background in Microsoft Power BI and Microsoft Data Lake Dynamics-based systems. This role requires a combination of technical expertise and strategic vision in data management, offering the opportunity to lead the architectural strategy and administration of a critical data resource. LocationThis is an on-site position located in New Hampshire. Candidates currently residing in New Hampshire or those willing to relocate are encouraged to apply.
Essential Functions
- Design and implement datasets within the data lake environment using various ETL tools
- Work closely with business units to understand their data needs and ensure data solutions are robust and effective
- Utilize Agile methodologies to manage data projects efficiently
- Operate and manage Data Factories to streamline data workflows
- Develop and maintain data pipelines in Azure Synapse
- Manage SQL Server-based data warehouse environments
- Oversee the integration of Data Gateways, Power Apps, and Power BI to enhance business intelligence capabilities
- Ensure stringent data security measures and strategies are consistently applied
- Maintain a thorough understanding of the software development lifecycle, applying it effectively to data operations
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in data warehousing and data analytics
- At least 4 years of experience working with Microsoft Power BI and Microsoft Data Lake Dynamics-based systems
- Strong interpersonal skills with a proven ability to work effectively with business users
- Demonstrable experience with complex system operations and business process improvement
- Proficiency in ETL tools, data set design and implementation, and SQL Server environments
- Solid understanding of Agile development practices, Data Factories, and Azure Synapse
