Position Summary
CVS Health is looking for a Senior Data Scientist to join the Growth Analytics under Analytics & Behavior Change. This individual contributor will be responsible for shaping and executing upon a customer-centric based analytical strategy across a broad range of Health Care Business (HCB) and cross-enterprise opportunities. Focus will be on acquiring deep understanding of business context and development of solutions in machine learning, experimentation, and generative AI. This role will work closely with a variety of analytical and business partners in continuously optimizing a holistic customer journey experience. Also provides guidance and direction to more junior team members.

  • Develop a deep understanding of the end-to-end customer journey through data analysis. Uncover friction points, drop-off stages, and high-value engagement opportunities across Medicare products.
  • Develop and deploy machine learning and statistical models (deep learning, causal inference, regression) that optimize next best actions at each stage of the customer journey, tailored to individual behaviors and signals.
  • Build scalable systems and frameworks utilizing Cloud platforms to continuously monitor, evaluate, and improve customer journey activation performance across marketing, sales channels, and more.
  • Utilize generative AI and LLMs for scaling, simplifying, and creating new business opportunities in current processes.
  • Leverage tools to conduct deep-dive analyses, including customer segmentation and sales funnel diagnostics.
  • Create compelling visualizations and wield data storytelling to communicate insights and recommendations to cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with Strategy, Marketing, Operations, and peer Data Science teams to translate analytical findings into targeted, actionable solutions.
  • Present complex data science concepts in a clear, engaging manner to both technical and non-technical audiences, influencing key business decisions.
  • Drive innovation by integrating new data sources, testing advanced modeling techniques, and championing a culture of experimentation and continuous improvement.



Required Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience with: Python, SQL, Cloud applications (GCP, AWS, Azure), machine learning
  • 3+ years of experience solving analytics problems using advanced statistics, machine learning, mathematical algorithms and predictive modeling
  • 3+ years of industry experience demonstrating the ability to present technical concepts to non-technical audiences and convey clear insights


Preferred Qualifications

  • Proven track record of collaborating across cross-functional teams to deliver highly impactful analytics solutions
  • Experience with experimentation and observational causal inference to drive decision making
  • Experience with development and evaluation of large language models
  • Experience designing and deploying scalable machine learning models in production environments
  • Demonstrated proficiency in most areas of mathematical analysis methods, machine learning, statistical analysis, and predictive modeling and in-depth specialization in some areas


Education

Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience in Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Business Analytics, Economics, Physics, Engineering, or related discipline.

Master’s degree or PhD preferred

Pay Range

The typical pay range for this role is:

$111,240.00 - $222,480.00

This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls.  The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors.  This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.
