Examples of duties
This position, Occupational Therapy Assistant, is located in the Occupational Therapy Unit of the Hawaii State Hospital ad is responsible for assisting an Occupational Therapist in the evaluation and treatment of patients referred for occupational therapy and in planning, coordinating, and implementing an ongoing therapeutic occupational therapy program. The position may be required to work on shifts, including evening, and weekends and holidays.Qualifications
To qualify, you must meet all of the following requirements:Legal Authorization to Work:
The State of Hawaii requires all persons seeking employment with the government of the State shall be citizens, nationals, or permanent resident aliens of the United States, or eligible under federal law for unrestricted employment in the United States.
LICENSE:
Applicants must possess a valid Occupational Therapy Assistant License issued by the State of Hawaii Board of Occupational Therapy.
AND
Experience and Essential Knowledge and Abilities Required:
One year of experience in working with patients in a hospital, facility, or program which involved occupational therapy assessment and treatment.
The experience must have provided the applicant with knowledge of and experience in

People Oriented; Positive Attitude; Team Player; and Self-Motivated.
