Salary & Compensation

• Hourly Rate: $27.72 – $39.60 (based on experience)

• Specialty Differential: +$2.50/hour

• Shift Differentials:

  • Nights: +$3/hour

  • Weekends: +$2/hour

• Sign-On Bonus: Up to $25,000 (Night Shift Only, case-by-case basis)

Job Overview

We are hiring a dedicated and experienced Registered Nurse to join our Cardiac Surgery Intensive Care Unit (CSICU) team in Tallahassee, FL. This role involves providing critical care to post-cardiac surgery patients in a high-acuity setting. The ideal candidate will demonstrate advanced clinical judgment, autonomy, and a strong commitment to patient-centered care.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver advanced, high-intensity care for post-operative cardiac surgery patients

• Conduct thorough clinical assessments and make evidence-based care decisions

• Independently manage patient treatments and emergency interventions

• Educate patients and families on treatment plans, medications, and procedures

• Maintain patient privacy and comply with HIPAA regulations

• Work closely with interdisciplinary care teams to optimize patient outcomes

• Embrace continuous learning and professional growth

Requirements

Experience:

• 1+ years of acute care RN experience required

• ICU or CSICU experience preferred (not mandatory)

Licensure/Certifications:

• Active RN License (Florida)

• Basic Life Support (BLS)

• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) – required within 6 months of hire

• CCRN preferred (must be obtained within 2 years)

• NIHSS Stroke Certification – required within 30 days of hire

Education:

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
