About the role

GRAIL is seeking a Sales & Operations Planning Manager for the Supply Chain Organization.  As part of the Supply Chain team you will drive all aspects of the Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) Process  In this role, you will facilitate demand planning discussions, translate demand to operational and supply chain requirements; facilitate operational capacity plan development; establish supplier forecasts; identify risks to production; and present to executive leadership.  
The onsite role requires 3-5 days a week in Durham, NC

Responsibilities;

  • Drive the Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) process to ensure alignment between supply & demand, identifying trends and gaps in forecast and BoM accuracy and E&O. Drive root cause / corrective action to address gaps.  
  • Engage with forecast owners, Operations, and Finance to develop and implement process and system changes to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of each aspect of the process. 
  • Clearly articulate business demand drivers, identify opportunities and risks, and proactively collaborate with Supply Planning, Procurement, Lab Operations and Finance to achieve a balanced inventory strategy.
  • Develop and manage leading and lagging KPIs to prevent Operations and Customer disruption. 
  • Drive E&O process including proactive identification and mitigation of potential E&O risk.  
  • Create scenario plans, present options and recommendations to address risk and variability in demand and supply. 

Preferred Qualifications;

  • 5+ years Supply Chain Operations, S&OP and demand planning experience
  • Life sciences industry experience desirable

Additional Skills;

  • Experience with ERP/MRP Systems
  • Advanced proficiency in spreadsheet model building and troubleshooting
  • Developed analytical, strategic-thinking, problem-solving, and organizational skills as well as the ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities, assignments, and roles
  • Demonstrated ability to develop ad-hoc tools/processes as needed in a start-up environment
  • Experience with integrating quantitative and qualitative information to draw accurate conclusions; posing the right questions to effectively analyze situations. 

Education

  • B.S in Supply Chain, Engineering, Business Administration or Finance;  advanced degree or certification (CSCP, CPIM, CPSM) desirable

  • Standing or sitting for long periods of time may be necessary
