DEPARTMENT
- The Director of Facilities supports the Illinois team in the management of all building systems. The Director is responsible for administering and organizing varied projects under the supervision of the VP of Operations.
- The Director will be responsible for building a facilities team that maintains daily functionality across 4 locations and supports the planning, coordination, and execution of new facilities in the state.
- This position requires high attention to detail, mindfulness of deadlines, and the ability to anticipate the needs of multiple stakeholders. The ideal candidate for this role is proactive, reliable, and goal-driven; a creative problem-solver that can navigate the ongoing changes and unique challenges of a start-up industry.
- Day-to-day responsibilities involve developing maintenance schedules and assessing the demands of multiple locations and leading a team to address the priorities of the Illinois division. The Director will represent the company through the management of facility contracts and vendor relationships, and must communicate proactively with stakeholders, partners, and members of the executive team.
AVAILABILITY
- Full shift availability (nights, weekends, and holidays may be required)
COMPENSATION
- $100K - $160K (dependent on experience)
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead a team of facility managers, associates, and specialists to meet the building and equipment needs of all division departments, specifically, cultivation, manufacturing, transportation, and retail.
- Manage relationships with 3rd party vendors and oversee maintenance and security contracts for all locations.
- Implement, optimize, and manage a CMMS for the division.
- Develop and maintain preventative maintenance schedules.
- Track and analyze budgets and data as needed for the VP Operations.
- Optimize inspection, reporting, certification, and documentation procedures for all locations.
- Act as a workstream lead and project support on the development of new facilities in the Illinois market. Including, but not limited to: coordination of project activities, resources, equipment and information; routine update of corporate stakeholders through preparation of status reports; immediate resolution or escalation of issues to reduce risk; adherence to state and local regulations and company policies; compliance with all safety standards and responsible for alignment of contractors and all subcontractors with company safety standards; development and maintenance of comprehensive project documentation, plans, and reports.
- Able to work independently while seeking guidance at appropriate times.
- Excellent communicator. Flexible, yet accountable and able to effectively prioritize and distribute information in a rapidly growing market.
QUALIFICATION
- Bachelor’s degree: civil, mechanical, construction management, or similar
- 3+ years of leadership and /or project management experience
- Demonstrated excellence in establishing project timelines and meeting expectations for project completion.
- General knowledge of commercial general contracting procedures.
- General knowledge of facility operations, including inventory and contract management.
- Excellent organizational and multi-tasking skills
- Strong interpersonal, analytical, influencing, and prioritization skills
- Excellent written/verbal communications
- Advanced math and computer skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, TEAMs, etc.)
- Active and valid government issued photo identification
- 21 years of age or older
- High School Diploma or GED
- Ability to obtain and maintain Dispensing Organization Agent Identification Card (obtained upon hire) in accordance with State law.
