Lead a team of forklift technicians, providing guidance, training, and performance evaluations to ensure a high level of productivity and quality work.

Basic Qualifications:
 

•  Must be 18 years of age or older 

•  High school diploma, GED or college degree required

 

Preferred Qualifications:
 

•  Three (3) year of similar work experience

•  Certification as a forklift technician or equivalent

 

Responsibilities:

Lead a team of forklift technicians, providing guidance, training, and performance evaluations to ensure a high level of productivity and quality work. Develop and implement maintenance and repair schedules for all forklifts, ensuring that they are serviced regularly to avoid breakdowns and maximize uptime. Coordinate with other departments to schedule for conversion and event to operations. Conduct regular inspections and safety checks to ensure compliance with safety regulations and identify any potential issues or hazards. Develop and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) for forklift operations and maintenance, ensuring compliance with industry regulations and best practices. recommending upgrades or modifications to enhance efficiency and safety. Foster a culture of safety and adherence to regulations among forklift operators and technicians, providing ongoing training and promoting best practices. Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical issues with forklifts, coordinating repairs with technicians and external vendors if necessary.

Strong leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and supervise a team effectively. Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities to diagnose and resolve mechanical issues with forklifts. In-depth knowledge of forklift operations and maintenance procedures, including familiarity with different types of forklifts and their components. Solid organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively coordinate with technicians. Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment, while maintaining attention to detail and accuracy.

High school diploma or equivalent. Minimum of 3 years of experience in forklift maintenance or a related field. Proven experience in a supervisory role, preferably in a forklift services or maintenance department. Certification as a forklift technician or equivalent is preferred. Knowledge of safety regulations and compliance standards related to forklift operations. Valid driver's license and clean driving record. Ability to lift heavy objects and work in small area, halfway and various conditions.
 

A good job for someone just entering the workforce or returning to the workforce with limited experience and education.
