Information Systems Security Officer - ISSO

Two Six Technologies is growing and we are looking for an Information System Security Officer (ISSO) to support our Corporate team. The ideal candidate is one who is eager to learn and adapt to new challenges in a fast-paced and growing environment and work well within a team environment but accomplish tasks independently. 

This position requires attention to detail, strong analytical and critical problem solving abilities, understanding of NIST 800 and has previously provided ISSO or ISSM support for government classified systems.  You will be responsible for ensuring compliance for assigned classified programs. 

The environments you will work in include Windows 10/11, Active Directory/Group Policy, Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL), Debian/Ubuntu, VMWare vSphere / ESXi.

This is an on-site position working from our Laurel, MD office.

What you will do:

• Work with the Corporate Security team to ensure all information systems remain or achieve compliance
• Complete STIG checklists and POA&Ms
• Work with DCSA using EMASS for drafting and submitting RMF packages
• Review all data transfers to information systems
• Perform weekly, bi-weekly, and monthly audits for all assigned accredited systems
• Conduct Continuous Monitoring activities per customer requirements
• Play a vital role in the RMF process serving as an advisor to the ISSM
• Perform customer annual self-inspections and self-assessments
• Work with a team of Information System Security Engineers to build a CUI network

What You Will Need:

• 5+ years of experience working within a classified environment as an ISSO or ISSM
• Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Security, or related degree or additional experience and advanced professional industry certifications
• Security certifications such as: Security+, GCISP, GSEC, SSCP, CASP+, CISM, CISSP, etc. (Preferred: CASP+, CISM, CISSP)
• Experience working with DCSA and using EMASS for drafting and submitting RMF packages
• Prior SCI or SAP network experience 
• Ability to work independently to identify, assess & resolve unique security situations with innovative solutions geared to facilitate contract performance within the bounds of security requirements
• Working knowledge of government regulations such as the DCSA Assessment and Authorization Process Manual (DAAPM), Joint SAP Implementation Guide (JSIG), NIST SP 800-53, NIST SP 800-171, etc.
• Understanding of CMMC

Clearance Requirements:

• Active Top Secret with SCI eligibility and willingness to obtain poly

The projected salary range listed for this position is annualized. This is a general guideline and not a guarantee of salary. Salary is one component of our total compensation package and the specific salary offered is determined by various factors, including, but not limited to education, experience, knowledge, skills, geographic location, as well as contract specific affordability and organizational requirements.

Salary Range$94,800—$203,100 USD
