About the role

Description

Vertis Therapy is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Part-Time or PRN Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our rehabilitation team at an assisted living and memory care community in Naples, Florida. Vertis Therapy is launching its therapy program at this community in mid-October, offering an exciting opportunity to be part of the program from the start.


This beautiful community offers a welcoming, comfortable environment with thoughtfully designed spaces for both assisted living and memory care residents. You’ll have the opportunity to help establish and grow the therapy program while providing meaningful, resident-centered care.


The Speech Language Pathologist will develop individualized treatment plans, provide skilled speech-language pathology services, monitor resident progress, and collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to support positive outcomes.


Responsibilities

Resident Assessment and Treatment: Evaluate residents' communication, cognitive, and swallowing abilities. Establish and implement individualized treatment plans based on resident needs and goals to improve function, independence, and quality of life.

Documentation: Complete timely and accurate evaluations, progress notes, treatment documentation, and discharge summaries in accordance with company and regulatory requirements.

Professional Development: Participate in team development meetings 


Qualifications

Education: Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution. Current Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) or be eligible for a Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY). 

Licensure: Valid Speech-Language Pathologist state license or license eligibility.

Skills: Strong clinical assessment and treatment skills. Proficient in developing and implementing effective treatment plans. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and as part of an interdisciplinary team.

Physical Requirements: Ability to assist residents as needed and perform physical tasks related to therapy. Must be able to stand, walk, bend, and move throughout the facility as required.

Technology: Computer proficiency and ability to document in an electronic medical record platform.
