This position provides Distributed Common Ground System-Army (DCGS-A) integration support to the Joint Multinational Readiness Center (JMRC) Operations Group (OPSGRP) located at Hohenfels, Germany. JMRC’s mission is to train Multinational Interoperability to US, NATO, and partner nation forces up to the Brigade level in an extended Live, Virtual, and Constructive Decisive Action Training Environment. JMRC supports the US Army Europe theater security cooperation plan through planning and participation in NATO and U.S. Army Europe exercise programs.
The Distributed Common Ground System-Army (DCGS-A) Integrator is a DCGS-A technical expert (TE) and supporting member of the JMRC. DCGS-A Integrators work in support of JMRC rotations/exercises which includes planning, coordination, technical integration, and execution support to operate DCGS-A clients and virtual servers on the Tactical Services Infrastructure (TSI) Stacks. DCGS-A Integrators deliver software to enable the Army operational readiness by developing, providing, integrating and maintaining Army Command, Control, Communications, Computers, Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (C4ISR). Additionally, the Integrator provides technical support for the integration of the DCGS-A at the JMRC and systems with operational products that support brigade and division staff, Exercise Control (EXCON), and After Action Review (AAR) data retrieval.
Duties:
• Conducts functional testing of DCGS-A systems, and writes and updates system documentation, procedures and training materials.
• Customizes, maintains, and installs Microsoft Windows, ESXi/VMWare, and Red Hat Linux operating systems, software patches, and upgrades based on end-user and functional requirements.
• Ensures DCGS-A is properly configured to support the Brigade Combat Team (BCT) training events including development and integration of the required associated scenario.
• Provides technical support to users; isolates and resolves technical problems and participates in the development of system upgrades to meet client needs.
• Responsible for backup and disaster recovery of Linux and Windows operating systems.
• Technically supports external organizations with identifying and implementing architectural and network solutions relating to the use of doctrinally appropriate DCGS-A applications including real world and/or simulated data sources and systems.
• Supports Brigade Combat Team pre-rotation technical integration planning and coordination.
• Supports planning and development of rotation scenarios to enable rotational units to employ their DCGS-A capabilities during training as they will in actual operations.

• Supports pre-rotational coordination and planning with each rotational unit to identify their unique requirements and maximize training on the intelligence theater provided equipment.
• Maintains a current understanding and knowledge on theater best practices and trends by incorporating new databases, tools or methods within DCGS-A to enhance rotational unit training.
• Understands Information Assurance (IA) methodology and security principles.
• Assists IA staff with all documentation required for accreditation and any other associated directives and regulations.
• Updates IA required documentation to include, Plan of Action and Milestones (POAM), Hardware/Software Lists, and Software Version Descriptions (SVD).
Required Education and Experience:
• A Bachelor’s degree plus 3 years of recent specialized experience, OR;
• An Associate’s degree plus 7 years of recent specialized experience, OR;
• A major certification plus 7 years of recent specialized experience, OR;
• 11 years of recent specialized experience
Desired Skills and Qualifications
• Proficient in Microsoft Office products, to include PowerPoint, Excel, and Word.
• Ability to work long hours on consecutive days/nights in support of exercise preparation, execution, helpdesk, evaluation and close-out.
• Possess SECRET clearance.
