About the Position

The Data Insights Analyst (“DIA”) will be responsible for delivering powerful insights about our students and their progress to internal and external stakeholders, with a particular focus on data analysis and visualizations. In collaboration with the Director of Data Insights, the DIA will provide Beyond 12’s partners and internal staff with the powerful visualizations and actionable insights needed to accomplish their work and demonstrate the impact of Beyond 12 services. The Data Insights Analyst will bring their strong collaboration skills and ability to translate complex data and analyses for a range of Beyond 12 teams and partners. Finally, the Data Insights Analyst will develop and maintain internal and external dashboards that surface key data and insights to Beyond 12 staff and partners.

You Will

• Transform and manipulate data with the purpose of understanding and drawing conclusions from the data.
• Create and maintain meaningful and insightful dashboards for internal and external stakeholders.
• Design processes to ensure that programmatic and student success metrics are standardized and aligned with best practices in the field.
• Collaborate with the Chief Knowledge Officer and Director of Data Insights to develop reports and dashboards that help translate stakeholder questions into clear metrics and visualizations.
• Identify patterns and relationships in student data and synthesize key themes to provide actionable insights and context for both internal and external partners.
• Ensure that Beyond 12’s partners and internal stakeholders understand students' post-secondary journeys and have the insights, student stories, and data visualizations they need to communicate these experiences and outcomes.
• Conduct and share powerful data analyses with partners that deepen understanding and enable improvements in partner and Beyond 12 programs.
• Contribute to a culture of data-driven decision-making across the team and provide essential guidance and collaboration on data visualizations across the organization.

Requirements

You Are

• A strong believer in and committed to Beyond 12’s mission, vision, and our core values: Collaboration, Excellence, Innovation, Knowledge, Respect, and Trust
• Technically skilled with data analysis and visualization tools, including proficiency with Python, SQL, and data visualization software.

• Skilled at data visualization and use it to synthesize, simplify, and present complex data to audiences of varied technical skill, inspiring and empowering stakeholders to move from insight to action

• Someone that enjoys working independently and is an enthusiastic, organized, and detail-oriented team player looking for colleagues that are talented, visionary, passionate, joyful, and dedicated to improving the educational experiences of students
