Job Description

The Edge Threat Management (ETM) team at Arista develops software based firewall solutions for the network edge, and cloud orchestration to command and manage customer devices with minimal downtime and interaction.  Our products are manageable through our ETM Command Center, which allows for automated device configuration as well as reporting and analytics.  The ETM Firewall Device development stacks involved include Golang, Java, Vue.js, Ext.js, Python, C, nftables, iptables, and other Linux based networking development tools. Our Cloud ETM team works with PHP, Java, Vue.js, Python and .NET. 

What You'll Do:

• Ensure quality and deliverability to the Edge Threat management Cloud Services, as well as to our product deployments
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, develop, and implement orchestration and deliverability that is performant and discernable
• Drive discovery and evaluation of new technologies to maximize development efficiency and performance
• Architect deliverability solutions for our end users, as well as developers

Qualifications

• Experience working with Jenkins/Travis/Github Actions or similar CI tools
• Experience with Docker, docker compose, or kubernetes for service orchestration
• Experience working with Debian’s debhelper packaging systems or equivalents
• Experience working with Openwrt’s buildroot build system or equivalents
• Experience working in an Agile software development environment
• Experience in Linux/Unix development
• Experience in shell, python, and other scripting languages
• Experience in developing systems for high reliability and scalability
• Understanding of network management and security
• Intrinsic drive towards KISS and DRY principles
