About the Role

In your tole of Complete Vehicle Intern Engineer, you will be able to assist in the Benchmark, Testing Development and Architecture activities of a Complete Vehicle Engineering development. 

Your Responsibilities

Vehicle Architecture:
•    Reviewing Vehicle Systems in CAD and analyze compatibility within components and systems to validate requirements such as Clash Analysis, clearances, material properties, and other activities related.
•    Create Sections for Class A Surface and Vehicle Requirements Review.

Vehicle Testing: 
•    Participate in the Vehicle Testing events, and support with reports documentation.
•    Participate in Durability Testing Inspections, as well as reports documentation support.
•    Report issues in timely matter and support cross-functional teams reviews and problem solving.
•    Participate and support with vehicle instrumentation. 


Customer Function and Weight:
•    Participate and support Benchmark activities, such as researching in data for commercial vehicles. Inspection and documentation of vehicles available, support Engineering activities related with the Benchmark Vehicles Fleet. 
•    Support in Weight management activities, such as BOM review, calculation discrepancies, and problem resolution with the different teams.

Who we are looking for

•    Some automotive experience is a plus.
•    Currently enrolled and working towards a bachelor’s/master’s degree of Science or Engineering in Mechanical, Electrical, Automotive, or related discipline.
•    Applied engineering experience through student organizations, internships, or personal projects.
•    Ability to participate in Complete Vehicle Testing, Analysis, and Design.
 

Your preferred qualifications

•    High School Diploma
•    Currently Attending a College or University
•    Proficient Computer knowledge and skills, Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) 
•    Professional Communication skills (written and verbal) 
•    CATIA V5 Experience is a plus.
•    Vehicle, System or Component Level Testing experience is a plus.
•    Normal amount of sitting or standing, average mobility to move around an office environment, able to conduct normal amount of work at a computer.
