<p>Alpiq in the Czech Republic, with its headquarters in Prague, is one of the largest cross-border energy traders in Central Eastern and Southeastern Europe. The Center of Excellence team of Alpiq has more than 150 team members and supports numerous Alpiq Group companies.</p> <p>For our Accounting team we are looking for an experienced GL Senior Accountant</p> <p> <br/><strong>Your main responsibilities</strong></p> <p>•    Full responsibility for accounting &amp; taxation (mainly coordination and review) and reporting of Group companies in CESEE countries that have business focus on complex energy solutions (Renewable resources, Energy derivatives, etc.)<br/>•    Responsibility for reviewing and coordination of work of junior accountants and providing support to them<br/>•    Daily communication with external accountants, preparation of reporting package, review of local taxes, general administration <br/>•    Accounting for complex transactions<br/>•    Monthly closing and reporting under IFRS <br/>•    Daily communication in English with colleagues around Europe <br/>•    Management of statutory audits in Group companies (financial statements review, communication with the external accounting companies, audit coordination)<br/>•    Participate on the preparation of statistics reports<br/>•    Cooperation with tax department<br/>•    Ad-hoc projects and reports</p> <p><br/><strong>Your profile</strong></p> <p>•    University degree Accounting/Economics is preferred<br/>•    Czech Institute of Accountants or ACCA finalized or in progress is big advantage <br/>•    Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in accounting/audit<br/>•    Knowledge of IFRS (other local accounting standards are advantage)   <br/>•    PC literate (MS Office, SAP)   <br/>•    Communicative knowledge of English, other languages as advantage (German, Spanish, French, Italian, Finish, Norwegian, Swedish, etc.)<br/>•    Team player, tasks prioritizing and time management <br/>•    Willingness to learn new things <br/>•    Experience in international environment or SSC would be an advantage (especially in energy business)</p>
