MEPPI's Transportation Systems Division (TSD) is looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented Inventory Clerk II to support our manufacturing operations and inventory management. This is your opportunity to play a key role in managing the flow of materials, ensuring accurate inventory records, and facilitating shipping and receiving processes.
What You’ll Do:
- Perform all duties of an Inventory Worker I as needed.
- Retrieve and deliver material from inventory for production based on barcode reader instructions, manual lists, and pick parts templates.
- Package, stage, and label parts for delivery. Load packaged parts and assemblies onto trucks for shipment.
- Review Pick Lists and Sales Orders/SROs for errors and collaborate with the appropriate departments to resolve discrepancies.
- Ensure non-conforming materials are processed efficiently and in a timely manner.
- Utilize the business system to create shipments, record transactions, and locate materials.
- Coordinate the shipment of materials with shipping companies, acting as the primary point of contact for incoming shipments.
- Prepare and enter weight and dimension information for outgoing shipments into the business system.
- Resolve any errors or deviations in incoming shipments with the supervisor and Purchasing department.
- Conduct physical inventory counts, location audits, cycle counts, and reconcile discrepancies.
- Adjust inventory records as necessary and assist the supervisor with maintaining inventory levels.
- Place purchase requisitions and manage shelf-life inventory to ensure timely replenishment.
- Generate and issue detailed inventory reports for internal use.
- Support the Logistics department with the shipment of documents and small packages as needed.
- Transport equipment, parts, and materials between customer and company facilities as required.
- Understand and promote MEPPI’s Quality, Safety, and Environmental policies, and be prepared to discuss how they impact daily operations.
What You Bring:
- Educational Background: High School Diploma or GED, with at least three years of warehouse experience, or equivalent education and experience.
- Technical Skills: Experience with safety and operational training to operate machinery (e.g., fork truck, crane). Proficiency in arithmetic and metric/standard measurements is required.
- Computer Proficiency: Intermediate computer skills, particularly in MS Office, ERP/MRP systems, and warehouse management software.
