About the role

OVERVIEW:

The Director of Corporate Engagement - EOI Accounts will serve as an account lead on Year Up United’s Corporate Engagement function, which works to secure high quality, work-based experiences for all Year Up United students and to develop partnerships with major corporations nationwide.

Reporting to the Sr. Director of CE (EOIs), this role will require an experienced and dynamic sales professional who will work to retain and broaden our existing relationships and internship placements nationwide. The impact of your work will be measured by growth and retention of our existing Employers of Influence (EOIs) partners, those who are able to take 25+ Year Up United interns per cycle, across three or more geographies. The Director will work with major Fortune 500 corporations in need of entry-level talent to provide trained, high-potential young adults with high-quality internships, and working to ensure a program of support and professional development for these young adults on their internships. The ideal candidate should desire to leverage their demonstrated experience in sales, strategy, and account management practices within our mission-driven social enterprise.

In this role you will also help drive Year Up United’s innovation agenda outcomes through your work by positioning Grads of Life and YUPRO Placement offerings to your team’s accounts.

In keeping with Year Up United’s values, the Director will also have the opportunity to interact with students as coach, group facilitator, and advocate, participating in creating and sustaining a positive educational environment, with trust among students, program managers, and site leaders.

This is a hybrid role that will require occasional in-person engagement activities. You must live within a commutable distance to our Bay Area location (https://www.yearup.org/job-training/locations).

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

EOI Account Management

· Implement work in the field to meet account renewal and expansion goals and targets related to revenue retention or growth, conversion, cross-selling, partner satisfaction, etc.

· Meet or exceed KPIs related to activity in the field; renewals or expansion within personal portfolios via top-down or middle-out sales; and other pipeline health metrics.

· Develop and implement annual business planning related to your accounts.

· Manage all aspects of corporate relationships, supporting two 6-month internship cycles per year.

· Create a culture of high service, high support, high expectations in work with corporate partners.

· Leverage influence skills to work effectively within team and across departments to build consensus and maintain accountability to targets.

· Write and communicate account plans that post-sale colleagues can deliver on to retain partners.

· Ensure collaboration within team and across teams or departments as needed, such that students’ training strategically aligns with corporate partner needs, including sharing effective proposals

featuring Year Up United’s model and past successes for solving corporate entry level talent needs with Employers of Influence within EOIs team.

· Remove logistical barriers related to client accounts and lead via influence with colleagues to ensure we deliver on mutual beneficial account plans.

· Attend networking or industry events that support team outcomes.

· Utilize Salesforce.com to maintain accurate records of all sales and prospecting activities including sales calls, presentations, closed sales, and follow-up activities and work closely with colleagues in Revenue Operations group to leverage existing processes, analytics, and enablement tools to support outcomes in the field.

Site Team/Learning Community Member

· Serve as a coach/mentor for a small number of current students

· Join and sometimes facilitate weekly group sessions with students

· Participate in staff meetings and trainings

QUALIFICATIONS:

· At least 10+ years of professional experience in strategic account management and/or sales to enterprise-level accounts (e.g. sales, client service, development)

· 7+ years of experience managing an array of executive relationships across major accounts; direct sales or sales management experience leading national or regional teams

· Consultative sales approach and background in technology or technology-enabled solutions preferred

· Demonstrated ability to generate leads, close business, and manage annual sales targets of $5M+

· Documented strengths in meaningful relationship building, management, and growth to scale

· Strong organizational and time management skills with exceptional attention to detail

· A professional and resourceful style with the ability to work independe
