Job Description: Office Assistants (OAs) are the face of the UWC. These undergraduate students manage the front desk, coordinate student appointments, promote a welcoming, friendly, and inclusive atmosphere, and represent the UWC professionally to visitors and writers. The deadline to apply is July 17, 2024, and the position will begin at the start of the Fall 2024 semester. Please submit a current resume and cover letter with your Ignite application. Duties of OAs
-Communicating regularly with the UWC directors;
-Fostering an inclusive, hospitable, and friendly environment;
-Explaining the work of the UWC to students and faculty;
-Greeting students, faculty, and other visitors as they enter the UWC;
-Helping clients schedule initial and follow-up appointments;
-Answering phones;
-Managing difficult situations, such as a consultant not showing up for his/her work shift; 
-Submitting “Shift Reports” at the end of each shift; 
-Providing general office assistance and support;   
-Maintaining files and reports and ensure confidentiality of information;  
-Assisting with various projects, activities or tasks as needed;
-Complying with University policies;
-Maintaining regular and punctual attendance; and 
-Other duties, as needed.
